My question was poorly worded . I meant to ask if you had any discounts not available to the general public- like the college graduate or test drive discounts mentioned on leasehackr. You didn't and still got an excellent deal.

First post! Excited to join the fold here (bimmerpost i3 forum is dead).

Here's my lease deal. Highest score on leasehackr log :)

5/25/2016

2015 REx, Solar Orange, Tera, Tech, Parking
MSRP $53,795
Selling price $44,445 (includes $2000 buildout allowance)
BMW contributed $7500 lease cash
64% residual for 30mo/10k
MF .00089 after 7 MSD

Drive off $3591 (includes $1050 MSD and 1st month payment)
$2500 CVRP
Net drive off $41 after $2500 CVRP and MSD

Monthly payment $149 incl. tax (8%)

Total cost $4362 or $145/mo for $53,795 car :)
awesome deal! I'm in Socal and going to try emailing around to see if there are any 2015 models left.

How are the 2016 deal comparing? Not really in need of a new car but for $150 a month I'd jump on this and retire my current daily commuter.

Also read that CA is currently out of CVRP funding.. should this be a concern or can i assume the fund would get replenished? Just started looking into EV this weekend so not really sure how this works..

Sadly I just bought my i3 on 6/11. I submitted my rebate today and noticed that the funds has been exhausted.. I don't think its a concern since more funding is on the way. I read that CVRP submitted a 175 million dollar proposal for 2016-2017.

Very nice! Our mutual friend mentioned you sealed a deal this weekend ;)

Let us know how you did (or PM me). I'd love to know!

2016 will be significantly more than 2015 at the moment (lower residual, less buildout allowance, less aggressive dealer pricing)

I'm happy to send you info on some 2015 stock and who to talk to, just shoot me a spam. I just helped Lucy with her deal :)

Has anyone here checked out Weatherford BMW in Bay Area (Berkeley, CA)?

They got a 30 month lease on a REX for $89/month with $5350 down. When the CA rebate program gets re-funded then it will be more like 2850 down. Seems pretty tempting.

After lurking here for months today I finally joined the club and drove my new 2015 REX home from Pennsylvania! I didn't want the 20" wheels, but there are not so many 15s left. The backup camera was a must have option for my wife. It is a relatively uncommon option.
This is my deal:

Congratulations! Wow, being in an EV sales tax-exempt state I didn't realize sales tax was charged on the capitalized cost; I was under the impression it was charged on the monthly payment or amount financed before rebates.

Thank you. It wouldn't be possible without the help from this board. MD has its own EV tax rebate program. For the i3 the rebate is $2750- roughly equal to the sales taxes.
The liberals like redistributing other people's money. I figured that I want to be on the receiving end of it for once.

EV ownership is very smart for too many reasons to count, but also for all the incentives that wind up back in your pocket.

My deal last year using Owners Choice, before our state tax incentive expired.

2014 BEV every option except the 20"
MSRP $50,350
Residual: $31,720 (63%)

Negotiated Discount: -$9k
BMW UDE Coupon: -$1k
Federal tax incentive: -$7,500
Georgia state tax incentive: -$5,000

Georgia TAVT (sales tax): $2,905
Finance Cost: $2,104
Fees: $254

Total Cost after Incentives: $1,393
If you look at it monthly it comes to $58.04

I know some people who made about $1,000 profit after incentives by negotiating a little better than I did.

Was just there a few days ago. Currently it's $119/mon + $5350 down after $1000 college grade discount, which I don't qualify for. The quote instead was $345/month with zero down (~$2600 due at sign). Seemed like a average deal given they had high inventory and California's $2500 rebate is currently in legislative purgatory.

The deals on the 2016s will be sooooo much better in August and September when the 2017s start to hit the lot.

Agreed, The deals on the 2016s will be sooooo much better in August and September when the 2017s start to hit the lot.

I think the addition of the Bolt and other upgraded EV's will add to the competition as well. I just don't wanna wait.

I would expect some good deals on 2016s. But who knows what exactly will happen. The current inventory for 2016s is lower than it was for 2015s last November.
2014s coming off lease in coming months will also be interesting to watch.

Completely agree. I'm in the same boat as you; really want one now but at this point it's more logical to rent for $500/month and wait for Fall when the prices drop by thousands and the $2500 CA rebate has (hopefully) been fully re-instated.

Hey Everyone

I'm new to the i3 forums but not new to the i3. I have been tracking a deal since February and am about to close on a specific 2015 Rex and I wanted to share the lease details with everyone here. I'd love to here what everyone thinks!

My lease details

The vehicle was a demo car used for the extended test drives for potential clients, since it was never titled it is technically sold as "new" so it qualified for the $7500 credit.

2015 i3 Rex Mega
Mileage on vehicle: ~3,000

Arravani Grey / Mega Carum Senatec Cloth

$213/mo
$2,415 total down
30/mo lease

Tech pkg
Driving Assist Pkg
Mega World
20 inch Alloy Wheel (surprisingly I'm kinda bummed this about because I need to buy another set of wheels for winter tires here in NY).

Any thoughts?

New member/owner here from NJ. Very excited to join the family! Awesome car.

I just scored a 2016 Giga World Solar Orange REX w/ Park Assist Pkg, Comfort Access, 20" Wheels, etc..

$51,745 msrp
$40,989 cap cost
$36,221 residual
$1611 due at signing
$279/month, 24mo, 12k miles a year

Not bad for no state incentives?!

Now to get that level 2 charger installed!

Leased on 2/14/16 (I went in to test drive x3 for my wife on valentines day and ended up getting this for me instead, she said it was dorky and wouldnt drive it, I said I wouldnt pay $600/mo for a car when there is another option for under $300, close to $200 after gas savings)

2015 i3 REx, White, most features except upghraded radio and auto unlock
~$50,000 msrp
$39,470 Agreed vehicle value
$41,445 gross cap cost (adjusted down by $7,500 for fed tax credit)
$29,432 residual
$0 due at signing (waived all fees, perma plate, license fees, dlr service fees, battery/tire fees, 1st mo payment, sales tax, tag, etc)
$275/month (includes $15/mo sales tax), 30mo, 12k miles a year

I was initially told $260/mo but increased due to credit score.

I just leased a 2016 REX with every options, MSRP $55,895, $180/month tax included, in CA (of course) with the improved residue, 30 months, 12K miles.

Total drive off was around $2800, with $1400 in MSD, the rest are government fees, tax for the rebates, 1st mont payment. Qualified for loyalty rebate and fleet discount through my employer.

Total cost of ownership = $6800 for 30 months, potentially $4300 if the $2500 state rebate comes through.

I'm assuming a two year 10,000 mile/year lease from another employee at my BMW center. I'm paying him his upfront costs($900 down, $1050 MSD) and I will keep the $1050 at the end of the lease. He's paying the $500 lease assumption fee. It's a 2016 REX Tera with virtually every option- MSRP was $55,895.00 less the $7,500 credit. He only put 675 miles on it and there are 22 months left with a monthly payment of $105 including tax. Total cost of ownership is $3,210.
