Thats HV cable, you should have that fixed - sloppy work by Technician.

Firmware upgraded, but still no SOC!

SOC% Is USA/North America specific. It will not be available in any European version of the equivalent Software.

Latest off peak charging stiil has fundamental flaws

I am not sure much has changed in off-peak in the latest software updates, I was under the impression a more substantial fix was slated for the backend of the year.

    Nav / Entertainment crash

Are you up-to-date, there was a iDrive update to fix crashing issues last august/sept.

    i3 Preconditioning Facts

On 2 I noticed the same but as you say battery is bigger area, and even when the cabin had cooled in my case, the battery was still at 10degrees. The timeout is 15mins, and you can check battery temp from the service menu. On point 3, the cycling of EVSE has been reported but I don't think a...

    Tire pressure sensor behavior

When you swap you should do a reset before driving off, so it forces the car to relearn the tyre sensors positions. If you don't you get messages like you describe, as TPMS is getting different data to what it was expecting - if you go into IDrive (When parked) you can do the reset from TPMS menu.

    a bit weird....BEV charging

This is a known issue, what should happen is it clicks off at 20% SOC, but it very rarely does. In order to reset back to "proper" behaviour. Unlock, unplug, lock the car then plug back in and lock, and it will reset and honour your off-peak times. In my experience you only get into this...

    KLE/software update question

I suspect its slightly better (as in less cycles but it will still cycle), but not "fixed" the mothership is aware of the problem, and I was told late this year for a proper solution.

    Navigation data update 2015-2

Nav (map view)> Option Button > Map Version (Need to parked to see it) 2015-2 has literally only just dropped in the last couple of weeks, I doubt dealers have started to pick it up yet. Generally you need FSC code for each update, some cars that a built and programmed as new maps are...

EVSE Grant Scheme in UK - Any confirmed details yet?

The grant is being reduced to £750 I think, there is nothing confirmed yet. Will take effect at the new tax year.

    Activating LIM button in i3s

Speed limiter is there for Eco Pro/ Eco Pro+ to increase the range, there is no real speed limiter - though obviously the software could do it. The road-sign reading is part of the Driving Assistant Plus - and actually reads the road signs using forward facing camera.

    battery fully charged...regen overcharge?

Anecdotally my i3 charges to 19.4 max kappa according to service menu, when preconditioning. But supposedly the usable capacity is 18.8kwh - I tend to see this when not preconditioning. I think its fair to say the software is designed to manage the pack to around 18.8kwh, whether thats charging...

    battery fully charged...regen overcharge?

When you are close the maximum available capacity, regen is reduced and friction break is used. The battery never gets anywhere above 19.4kwh (I have observed this going to down a fairly steep incline, using the service menu max capacity read-out) You can also hear the friction brakes being...

    battery fully charged...regen overcharge?

When your fully charged, regen is disabled/reduced, friction break is used to make up the difference.
