I would estimate that i3 will generate less heat than your ICE vehicle catalytic converter. Battery re-charging will generate heat. Not sure of the exact BTU's for the i3 - which is dependent on how much charge is needed. From 0% to 80% battery charging heat would be higher than heat generated...
