    Should I get one?

My situation is somewhat like the OP's. This is the most expensive car I've ever owned, too, and it was a stretch to replace my 1998 Honda with it :) I'm in Texas, so I don't use winter tires. My condo association allowed me to install a charger. Before it was installed, I charged at a...

Hybrid electric drivers drive more electric miles.

People who drive longer distances will be more likely to buy a Volt. People with short commutes, and around-town errands will be the ones who buy a BEV in the first place. I am less likely to drain my battery to almost empty, because I don't drive much. Some of the comments make it sound...

$2500 Ca rebate - lease/finance vs pay all in cash

Absolutely. That's what I did. No tax credits, but I only paid $31k for a loaded bev. CPO, so I have the original warranty plus a 2 year extension.

i3 is the absolute most hated car at Public Chargers

Some models can have different settings based on location. I would love it if my i3 used GPS to know that it was at home, and should use the schedule, or it was somewhere else, and should charge immediately.

    Has anyone got a fault-free i3?

I don't know how people are getting such great range! I am averaging 3.6 mi/kWh in a bev. GOM is usually in the 60s. It can be consrvative, but somethimes I have run the battery down to fumes(?), and the real range has been 62. There are some factors I understand - I have owned the car for...

    The cold room

Thanks for this thread! I had not noticed the option to keep climate control running. I thought that the screen was just for pre-conditioning before scheduled departure, and wondered why it popped up. In a Texas summer, that was one of my biggest gripes about the car. Now If I could only...

    Rear wiper delete

I like it! That wiper strikes me as a stubby little thing, that doesn't cover much of the glass anyway.

    Would this help?

NoMoreGas, How is the UV protection doing? I have uneven fading, too.

The pain of drilling holes in the bumper for the front plate

I read a solution in a Tesla forum years ago. This guy took his plate to a print shop and had a copy made in vinyl, which he attached to the front of the car. Not official, and may not satisfy legal requirements - but probably good enough to keep you from getting adverse attention from a cop.

Install EV Charger at home or not

I got a Clipper Creek and installed it outside. I live in a condo with no garage, but my electric meter is close to my parking space. I did lots of research. Mine doesn't have wifi, and won't tell me how many amps the car is pulling. In fact, it won't tell me anything. But lots of folks in...

THIS CAR SUCKS! - HAD IT 10 MONTHS, JUST GOT 42 MILES!

I've had mine for three weeks, and I love it. But I'm in Dallas Texas, and up until this weekend, I have never gotten anywhere near 80 miles range. I, too, do lots of really quick hops and my GOM has said I would get about 60 miles. I bought mine used, and the KLE had not been replaced yet...
