Auto llights off in Acc mode

When in Accessory mode, ie press start button once, not drive ready. When dark, the Auto-headlights come on. It would be better to have them off unless in Drive mode. I find that when sat in the car listening to the Radio I have to turn the lights to off manually, then when it's time to drive, I often forget to turn them back to auto.

I know the exact behavior you're referencing. My solution is to turn on just the sound system. Press the stereo's volume/power knob; the car doesn't have to be in accessory mode. I believe it's typical BMW behavior. My E90 is the same.

THat procedure works, but it won't stay on forever in that mode...it shuts down with the same timer as if you'd just turned the car off - about 10-minutes, but you can repeat it as often as you like (until the battery dies!).
