Hi

I am interested in buying the i3 but we have two young children both in car seats

does anyone know if the front seats slide forward as in a 3 door car to enable easy entrance?

thats my only worry with the car and i cant seem to find any information on this

just that if not then it looks a squeeze to be able to secure the kids

thanks

No problem. Seen the car at local dealership. Front seats slide forward and tilt forward, so access to rear seats is good.

Thanks for the reply

as chance has it my wife went to see the i3 in leeds yesterday

she confirmed that the front seats slide easily forward for easy access and that there is also lots of headroom for me...

going to place a deposit today....just to choose colours etc now

thanks

I realize this is an old thread, but now that the i3 is out and in the hands of owners, does anyone have some photos they could share of car seats (rear or forward facing) installed in the rear seats? Any comments about the practicality of getting the child in and out of the seat would be appreciated as well.

You can see a picture of a car seat behind the driver in the most recent "born electric" blog series here:

Thanks! I did come across that one, as well as the one on this page: http://www.carsafetyrules.com/bmw-i3-four-star-safety-rating/1127/

I have not been able to find any others, though. It would be nice to see a few different examples, since some seats will surely fit more easily than others.

Just did my test drive. Front seats have a handle on back of headrest so passengers in back can tilt and slide them forward.
