I see no glove box access. Is there a glove box and where? My wife needs to know this. :) j
Normally by this stage in the game BMW's "concepts" would be nothing more than production cars in lurid colours with enormous wheels but I think with the i3 things are different.

OK the Coupe Concept is basically an i3 without rear coach doors BUT pretty much every element has been "sexed up" to get the world interested in the concept (excuse the pun). For example the thickness of the upper door pillars is much thinner in the concept compared than the production car and certainly the seats wont have those butterfly wings on them (we’ve seen the standard non electric seats already)

Why is this important? Well the interior of the concept hasn't got a glove box - but if we compare the Concepts dashboard vs. the spy shots of the production car whilst they look similar they are not identical.

So I would imagine that in the area to the right (cream leather) there will be a drop down glove box - somewhere at least to store the handbook. See link at the bottom

This is sort of what I think it will look like (Range Rover Evoque)

Good Explanation/description Parker. In my opinion BMW (or the other German OEM's) have never done a great job of storage compartments or cup holders. That being said you often see concept cars omit glove compartments and even things like seat belts because functionality just gets in the way of expressing what the concept is all about. There will be storage compartments including a glove box(does anyone really use it to store their driving gloves anymore?!) somewhere and the most practical place to put it where they usually do as there is plenty of room there.

Not sure how to attach a picture ....... I have one of a BMW worker making an i3 dashboard.

It’s not on a web page ......it’s just a jpg.

But I don’t seem to have an option just to attach an image to a post.

Anyone any ideas?

Is this the picture you wanted to post?

Yes! ...... I'm trying to match this picture with previous concepts and spy shots.......admittedly not very successfully at the moment.

Some more info on the i3 from the BMW Annual General Meeting .... plus a photo of the Life Cell with the air bags deployed.

Oh ........ and the first pre production i3 has gone down the line...........
