And some lucky driver got the 2016 turbine option. Talk about green driving.

Photos copyright BMW. Shot by Christoph Busse, who has some enviable access inside BMW Werk Leipzig.

This made me chuckle! :D

Ok done with mods for now, after all this is a leased car:

Here is the list:
Led High Beam Lights
Led Front Turning lights
Blue Tint on High Beams
Wheel Bands
Tint on Side and Back Windows
Coding
Clear Film on rear bumper
Carbon Fiber Side Mirror Covers

Is the clear film for the rear bumper a precut product that you purchased for the i3 or something that was custom cut and installed locally?

Looks cool. My only piece of advice would be to maybe wrap the hood in a gloss white vinyl to color-match the rest of the car.

I'm currently doing that with my Arravani Gray i3, and it's leased too. Just harder to find the right shade for my car, but easy for white.

Why stop with the hood? Wrapping the roof with white vinyl should reduce the A/C load in sunny weather. Wrapping the black glass hatch might reduce the likelihood of the glass shattering when damaged.

I would do this to our Arravani Gray i3 except that a 3-tone car might not look very good. I need to get busy with Photoshop to see how this might look. Maybe wrapping most of the glossy black surfaces would keep our i3's two-tone look with white replacing black.

Precut from eBay

Curiously, this Website states that its bumper protector isn't compatible with our i3 BEV but is compatible with an i3 REx. I'm pretty certain that both models have the same rear bumper cover, so I assume this incompatibility message is incorrect.

The guy who wrapped my i3 said it would be highly unlikely that I could find a matching white, or anything that was close. He did, however, have a nearly perfectly matched iBlue, so that is what I put on my Stormtrooper hood and rear spoiler.

Carbon fibre mirror covers - OEM or e-bay?

From eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Carbon-Fiber-Mirror-Covers-Housing-Cap-For-BMW-228i-F30-328i-335i-F32-428i-435i-/121846748295?&_trksid=p2056016.m2518.l4276

But these are replacements of the originals, they are not the stick on covers.

Looking good! Too bad you post got muddied up with the 2014 vs rolling change 2015 and 2016 wheel direction issue. Might ask an admin to go in and remove all of that crap. How closely do your wheel bands match the factory blue accents? And where did you get them? Amazon? eBay? Thanks!

Whilebands from ebay, they also have their own website, they match the blue very well.

Hi just wondering where did you get your wheel trim please

Thank you

Mick

They look like Rimblades which are available in the UK. There is a guy on the BMW i3 UK Facebook page who sells them for £15 + £20 fitting. Unfortunately he is on the South Coast but I'm sure that he would post a set (available in various colours) to you. His name is Mark Tykva https://www.facebook.com/mark.tykva?fref=ufi

Send me a PM if you need more details.
