I do not see any mention of the I3:

BMW has notified NHTSA of its intention to recall approximately 840,000 cars and Sports Activity Vehicles equipped with Takata PSDI-5 driver-side front air bags to have the driver-side front airbag replaced. These vehicles, covering model years 2006-2015 have not been part of earlier Takata-related air bag recalls.

Owners of potentially affected BMW vehicles will be contacted by first-class mail advising them of the recall. When replacement parts are available, owners will receive another letter with instructions for having the recall completed.

Owners with questions can contact BMW Customer Relations at 1-800-525-7417 or e-mail [email protected].

Below quoted paragraph is from __ bmwiforum.bmwusa.com __ which was also the second URL link in my first post above.

" I talked to BMW's recall center 3 days ago. Some i3's are being recalled due to airbag issues. 'Some' i3's in the production range from mid 2014 to mid 2015 are affected. The recall center has VIN specific info. I bought a 2015 i3 REX 10 days ago without knowledge of the recall and wanted to be sure. Mine is in the recall production date range but it is not affected. BMW would not disclose whether the air bag in my car is made by Takata. I would encourage i3 owners to call and find out. "

For Whoever Is Wondering;

I had written to the Borusan Otomotiv's Product Manager of BMWi series (namely, Mr. Gökgöz) last wednesday demanding a written reply which includes the facts of my i3 in terms of "TAKATA airbag issue".

Finally I received an undersigned consent indicating that our i3 is aloof from this misfortune. :D

( PS: Borusan Otomotiv is the official distributer of BMW brand vehicles in Türkiye. )
