Anybody seen this before? I noticed it walking up to the car yesterday in bright, late-afternoon light:

The local dealer installed a new KLE about two months ago. Perhaps this is sloppy work by the tech buttoning things up? Can't tell if it's foam or plastic and am leery of touching anything on this car that is bright orange.

I’m making the service appointment for next week, and then this morning at the grocery, the orange ooze underneath the car appeared lighter, almost yellow.

After unloading the grocery bags at home, I removed the trunk's floor cover and took a cautious look from above:

The fading ooze is a high-voltage leaf™ (not the Nissan).

Said leaf™ removed.

All is clear in autumnal Maryland, and Occam’s razor slices again.

It’s remarkable, in the exposed BEV boot, how little is between the groceries or the bags of mulch and the heart of this machine. What separates them is a thin tray made out of carbon fiber reinforced plastic, apparently. Heed that no-luggage warning sticker!
