I owned a Leaf as an "early adopter" from 2011 until November 2014, when I switched to an i3 REX. The Leaf was comfortable and trouble-free. But the battery seemed to degrade quickly--the 65-70 mile range when new had become about 40 miles (at the usual 75-80 mph commuting speed here in the...
My car came with the holder uninstalled and unexplained. Just got my plates this weekend so will take the car to the dealer and have them install it. No way I am going to screw it up, literally. This is a hassle for me, and reflects I think that the dealer was sort of rushed to get all the...
I found my own answer (with some help from old BMW forums on Google): Mute the map guidance, then turn back on which starts the voice guidance, then adjust the volume while this occurs. When regular radio or music resumes, the volume there is unaffected.
How the map voice guidance, which...
What are the implications of "maximum" vs "reduced" for Level 2?
I am still trying to compensate for the unpredictable and unreliable i3 delayed charging while trying to take advantage of reduced rates after midnight--at least until some reliable solution comes from BMW. If I select "reduced"...
Anyone know how to adjust the volume on the voice instructions. I can barely hear them and notice the volume bar which appears for an instant is in a pretty low setting.
Yes, but when you shut the car off the last thing you see on the Goodbye screen is that charging is set for Level 1. Perhaps for economy of space there is no mention of Level 2, but it has me wondering if the car thinks Level 1 is the selected charging option (as a fault in the software), and...
(I apologize if this subject has been discussed on another thread, which I could not find).
I was in the process of importing my mp3 music files from a USB stick and noticed the option for a software update. After going to http://www.bmw.com/update and entering my VIN, I saw update UPD05021...
For what it is worth, I am a new victim of this problem. Drove off with my new REx one week ago and like so many others have TOU-2 meter to take advantage of much reduced rates after midnight. With my previous Leaf, it was a simple matter of telling the vehicle to start after midnight and...
Just became a new owner of a REx after 3.5 years with a Leaf. With the Leaf, you can charge the battery to 80% (recommended for battery life) or 100%. I do not see such options with the i3. Am I missing something?
