It took 1 week to for the part to arrive (Toronto). Unfortunately my 2014 i3Rex had a "drive train malfunction" while waiting. I expect to be without my car for about a week (unrelated I believe). I too am not impressed with the fuel economy of the loaner (X1)!

Yes awesome car - I'm coming up on 2 years (June 2015) with just over 33,000 km's. Would definitely replace it with another i3 - will also strongly consider an i5 for wife (once we know something about it). I'm fortunate to have a BMW i dealer (Brampton) open closer to my home recently.

Yes - SOC is displayed below speed on my Canadian model - as is estimated remaining kilometres. I don't think it's possible to turn it off - never tried - can't imagine not wanting it there.

I will reach 20,000 this week in Canada - had a minor issue with fuel pressure gage. Long drive to dealership made this a bigger issue. Used about 16 litres of gas - forced myself to do this to run motor periodically. Would love to power it via PV panels some day!
