Rattling noise around trunk/rear interior panel removal

I had to remove my 'hatch cover' to remove the rattles in right rear. Didn't realize there was another location for those problems. https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/i01-i3-hat/ned/03-body/01-noise/noise-from-rear-area/repair-instructions-i01/ Specifically, this is what got my attention...

    Activating Carplay on 2018+ i3

I have a 2018 and confirmed I had the wifi antenna on my iDrive unit under back seat. I used FemtoEVO https://fscmap.com/femtoevo/ to activate CarPlay. It required a LAN OBD cable and a laptop... Once the hardware signature was read off of the i3, I sent the files to their email address and...

Safe 12V sources to tap for audio system

What an interesting freaking idea. I used to install Optima Yellow Tops in my cars for audio... this blows that out of the water! A consideration for me, for sure. Thank you!

Bavsound install Tutorial and Review (replacement speakers worth your while)

I would trust just about anyone to do the job. I swapped out the speakers in my i3s in under 45 minutes. It's quite an easy job!

    iSeal for Frunk

Super cool! I went with a 'sealed bag' from Amazon to store my tire plug kit, charger, etc as the debris and water was ruining everything in the frunk. The bag certainly works but I lost out on some extra space... This is a cool idea/product!

Bavsound install Tutorial and Review (replacement speakers worth your while)

Fantastic thread, what a great job walking through the installation. I love the pictures and the close ups as well as the text you provided. Bravo. I installed Audison 2 way components (tweeter pods from Focal on the door card) and it went close to the same as your installation. On a side...

Yeah, it is a bummer. I wanted it as well to protect the key in my pocket. :(

    Front license plate bracket

Oh, hi! Mine came with one. They drilled right into the front bumpber in the 'center middle' plastic part. I have 4 holes in my bumper. :( You can see the 4 holes here: If you don't have a bracket, I can send you the one that came on my car. :D

    Identifying Interior/Exterior Rattles

Very interesting, I didn't consider the outside cladding. I have a prominent 'clunk'/rattle that happens when I hit a bump hard enough. Sounds like it is behind the passenger seat (regardless if seat is up or not). Sounds like passenger C-Pillar but I can't find anything loose. Haven't...

    How often do you charge?

I precondition in the morning before heading to work, while plugged in. I do not precondition at work as I cannot plug in the car (and do not want to lose range). During these mild winter months in Florida I am starting to have 20-30 miles left over on the 'guess o meter'. In summer I was...

Safe 12V sources to tap for audio system

Great question and research, I like your considered approach! I do not have anything to add here, but I am also interested in this. Btw, your YouTube link is malformed, I think it meant to be [youtube] ?

    How often do you charge?

My 2018 i3s REX, with the 94 Ah battery achieves 110miles every day for me. I charge nightly as the 110 miles is my route to work and back. If I absolutely baby the accelerator I can achieve 115-120miles.
