    Wood Dash Panels

Thank you!! I also called Sterling BMW in Newport Beach and got the exact same part # from them 51459332448. Through their parts site, https://scorebmwparts.com, I find it for $476.60 plus shipping .... I'm giving the local dealership an opportunity to match it and if they can't I'm just...

    Wood Dash Panels

Hey guys, sorry to resurrect this topic but we just purchased an i3 with the Mega trim and were looking to also replace the grey dash with the wood panels. Our local dealership is finding the pieces available separately for a total cost of $900 as opposed to the $515 your dealerships have...

DuPont Teflon Fabric Protector on Wool Seats

Anyone try this on their wool seats yet? http://www2.dupont.com/Teflon_Fabric_Protector/en_US/products/benefits_teflon_fab.html Looks fairly reasonably priced based on a quick Google search

CCS Fast Chargers in Chicago & suburbs

I haven't had time to check out any of these chargers but was able to call NRG EVGO to verify that these were dual chargers (both CHADEMO and CCS) Despite Plugshare listing them as DCFC it looks like these are only CHADEMO type chargers. No current plans to upgrade to dual so it would have...

    Driving in the deep freeze

Probably different driving conditions. The bulk of our driving with the Leaf is on Chicago city streets where 35mph is considered blazing. ;) ECO mode is always on and it's driven in B mode in those situations. On the expressway too with speeds varying between 45 and 75 we never felt...

    Alternative Mobility around Chicago, IL

Does anyone know of any Chicagoland dealerships that are participating in the Alternative Mobility program? Also ... Anyone anywhere that has had occasion to use the program have you had any difficulties getting a long range vehicle when you've requested one?

CCS Fast Chargers in Chicago & suburbs

Tomasz - This is VERY helpful. I had no idea what DCFC was, I didn't think it was a combo charger. It looks like the L3 chargers I was seeing are CHAdeMO DCFC chargers which means we're covered. It's still not as complete of a network as I would like but ... At least now there's a network!

    Driving in the deep freeze

How do your i3s perform in freezing cold temperatures? We test drove an i3 in Chicago during a day where the temperature was about 0f ... The vehicle the salesperson brought out for us to test had been sitting on the lot and was brought without much warm up time. As much as he tried to...

CCS Fast Chargers in Chicago & suburbs

We are coming up on the end of our two year Nissan Leaf SV lease. Overall we've been extremely happy EV drivers. Since most of our driving is within the city limits and inner ring suburbs of Chicago the Leaf has been a great fit for about 85% of what we do limited only by a lack of a good quick...
