    Lease Rates?

$399/mo would be right for a vehicle with an MSRP after federal tax credit of $46,275.00. Given the pricing they've confirmed, I think they'll try to preserve the brand cachet, and come in at $329/mo on the lease. At most, they'll do $349/mo, same as the 328i. --Ted

    Deposits at dealers for i3

My dealer in Southern California is taking deposits now. I was (unfortunately) the second person on the waiting list!

    Pricing Rumours .........

That makes sense, as most companies advertise the price after the tax credit, and BMW doesn't want a price below 30k to devalue the brand. I was hoping for less, but it is a BMW. Did Mr. Buchko reveal any information about the release date here in the states?

Expected date for release of the BMW i3REx ?

Unfortunately, reports are starting to surface of a 2nd quarter 2014 release in the states: http://www.edmunds.com/car-news/2014-bmw-i3-to-start-in-low-to-mid-40000-range-says-bmw.html

    Pricing Rumours .........

I wouldn't be surprised at a low price these days. Manufacturers are cutting EV prices left and right to drive sales. BMW certainly has seen the price drops on the LEAF, Focus EV and Fit EV. If they come in substantially higher than the competition, they won't move many cars. Given that...

    i3 Cargo Capacity?

That's tiny. The Spark EV has more than that at 9.6 cubic feet. Thanks for the data point. On further reflection, that looks like the data point from the concept. Maybe the final production version will have more.

    i3 Cargo Capacity?

Anyone have data on the i3 cargo capacity? Looking at the pictures, the seats stop relatively close to the rear door, so there should be a decent amount of room, but I can't really tell from the exterior shots how close the rear seats get to the hatch. Anyone know details?

    Lease Rates?

Now that we're getting a sense of pricing (~35,000 $/€), does anyone have any information about what US lease rates will be? With BMW finance recognizing the $7500 US tax credit, will they be able to hit the $299 price point that Nissan has been promoting for their equivalently-priced LEAF SL...
