Frunk cover - which is better

I bought the Etsy elastic cover last summer, it has worked very well. The side velcro on the triangles does not engage but that has not caused a problem. The seller makes a few at a time so they are usually available eventually.

    Best tires for i3?

Please note the Tire Rack advertised low prices are on 2020 production tires so they have been sitting on their shelf for 3-4 years. Very good deal if you will be using them soon.

    On the verge of purchasing

The 2019 should work well for your intended use. We have 4 years (30K miles) on a 2018 S Rex rated at 97 miles. BMW ratings are conservative, our experience has been worst case of 90 below 0F in the winter and best of 130 in the summer (no A/C, it never gets that warm up here), usually 110 or...

Battery range continues to drop when Rex cuts in.

This behavior is very similar to what I have observed (3.5 years ownership). The Rex takes several minutes to warm up before it can reach full output. During that time the miles remaining will drop depending on electrical load. In the frozen north I frequently see it drop to 3 or 4 before slowly...

Steering effort abnormalities a known software issue for a long time, finally corrected by BMW TSB #B321119 late last year. The TSB was not publicized, you have to complain to a dealer to get them to load the latest operating system software under warranty. We have an 2018 I3S that had steering...

I3 vs I3S: Suspension, driving comfort

We drove both the I3 and I3S, bought the S. If one thinks the I3 seems to ride hard then the S will probably be too harsh as the difference is noticeable. We considered the I3 to be a bit mushy and like the improved handling of the S but it is harsher on rough roads. Also the short wheelbase...

Has Anyone Driven Both S and Normal i3 ?

Drove both last spring, bought S. For city driving normal I3 is fine plus better ride over potholes and 19" wheels a little less susceptible to damage. For highway driving the S has better acceleration above 50 and steering/handling is noticeably better for quick maneuvers. Ride is firm and can...
