2018 coming up on 1 year old. Not a single issue the entire year. Hope I am not jinxing it!

Update: Purchased and installed the OWl cam. Quick 10 minute install and no issues with pulling power from the OBD port.

I have looked at several dash cams and feel the Owl Cam might be my best bet. The issue is that it needs to plug into the OBD port. I understand on the I3 that will trigger the car alarm. Any easy workaround?

Is there any way through coding to have the REX run while the vehicle is parked to charge the batteries. I would like to drive the vehicle to a location at the edge of the battery range. There is no charging available in the area.

I see between 130 to 150 miles advertised range on a full charge. 2018 standard i3 with a Rex. That’s seems optimistic however. My round trip to the local airport is 52 miles. Drive there and home with car sitting for 3 days leaves me showing 68 to 70 miles range left. I don’t use any eco modes...

The new battery coming out in late 2018 should handle that commute. I don’t find the car that objectionable on the highway and with the adaptive cruise control it’s outstanding if things slow down. I have a 18 now and typical show 125 to 140 mile range in moderate temps.
