this is a manafacture problem with condensation and bad design! even out of warranty this would be a warranty case IMO. is this moisture and rex shutdown a 2014 i3 problem or is this also present in the 2015 and up models?

GREAT well i did have lower temp. 12c ( 53,6f ) that would account for a lower watts per km/mile in my case compared to yours. is was also cloudy and of course we can not simulate the exact road conditions and stoplights etc. i guess elevation is not that important because it is a electric...

well the volt is a lot lower.... not good when you have a bad back. the trip was 24,8 and a average speed in km/h of 37.8 the trip lasted round trip 40min

i did charge my i3 and volt when i drove them both for the same distance and same route on the same day the volt took 3200 watt and the i3 took 3300 watt.... :shock:

did you make any pics with the grill off so there a hole or just the hood? maybe for aerodynamics those can be left off and then make smooth

strange all other ev's have 160.000km or 8 years so wy did bmw only provide 100.000km? are they not confident they can provide a 160.000 warranty on the battery and wy is this 100.000 in the EU where in USA they do have 160.000km ( 100.000miles ) strange.

really have to pump this topic. when the i3 got 22,600watthours. and 18.800 is usable that 87% right? so there is a window of just 13% not used for life durability what i read from other ev's they normally dont discharge below 20% and never above 90% so they reserve 30%... not 13% so how are...

600 watts but with all the other stuff i geuss up to 1000watt is what to expect.

the volt was build from the ground up as a range extended vehicle. the 12 volt do not crank the generator just provide the power for the communication to have the generator started from the high voltage. i geuss the i3 will have a little less dc-dc power and ofcourse the smaller gastank will...

uh? the 12volt is not used to crank the volt or i3 rex ice motor.
