    Blue / Grey Sill Trims

I can now answer my own question on this having changed them over this morning (15 mins a side). They prise up from the bottom as the upper part of the trim fits over a 'lip'. The blue trims look (IMO) much better on an Imperial Blue car - and at £40 each, while not cheap, they are not BMW...

    Blue / Grey Sill Trims

I am looking to change the Grey sill trims in my i3 to Blue. These look as though they locate with 8 tabs along the bottom edge so I am assuming they need to be prised out along the top edge first with a trim removal tool and then they will pull out (upwards). Anybody done this? Am I assuming...

    Scratched Hood...

Angela Possibly you need a new husband more than a new hood!!

So the interior door handle just broke

6 months for a basic spare part??? All parts are available for your car - they build new cars out of 'parts'!! Suggest you escalate your complaint until somebody gives you a sensible answer.

    To cancel or not

I thought we had just changed how monetary systems work! Just print it out of thin air without limitation. Modern Monetary Theory (MMT) - otherwise known as Magic Money Tree. :D

    To cancel or not

You probably have nothing to lose by cancelling. Delivery will be so far away given the shut-downs. As to what happens after all this shit - my opinion is that the manufacturers will drastically reduce supply to keep demand and supply matched so prices won't plummet. There are too many...

    2020 I3s Incentives

Yes - in Europe in 2020, zero emission vehicles count double in the emissions calculation that the EU does so I guess you are right - big incentive to satisfy EU demand. I ordered my i3 on 4 Feb and it was built on 7 Mar. (For UK). Quicker than I was quoted. That said we don't get the...

    I’ve ordered it

Strange you have been quoted 4-5 months for delivery. Ordered mine 4th Feb and told delivery will be 6th April. Of course that still has to happen - and there are plenty of stories about manufacturers running low on key components right now due to the C-Virus!! Not advised of any delays yet...

    Trunk Extension

How about factory fitting something like the Wokeby trunk extension as factory fit on BEV's? For a car compromised on luggage space surely it is a 'no-brainer'?

    Auxilliary Heater

Never gets that low where I am so it will be used all the time. Glad that I have specified it. I noticed that in the UK the used i3's that seem to have the heat pump fitted are usually the ex BMW UK cars that are used for press events. (I guess they like to show the absolute maximum possible...

    New Order

Well I am feeling better about the 19" wheel/tyre choice already!! Yes I see that the 20" wheel has no winter tyre option - seems pretty incredible given that there is nothing available 6 years after launch!! Art - yes definitely got a Rearguard on the shopping list - maybe with a Weathertech...

    New Order

Well I have turned from i3maybe to 'i3 firm order'. Mine is coming at the end of March / start of April. Have specced up a standard i3 to just under the £40k list price level (above which there is more road tax in the UK). Managed to get all the options I really wanted within this figure and...

    Auxilliary Heater

Just on that last point, where I live the temperature is generally in the 5-15 degree centigrade range. My understanding is that this is a good range for heat pump efficiency - not too cold and not too hot. Am I correct?

    Auxilliary Heater

Again - thankyou for your comments. I am better educated on the subject now than if I had rung 25 UK BMW dealers at random - and I suspect - got 25 different versions of B/S for my troubles!!

    Auxilliary Heater

Thanks for the responses. Am I right in saying the Aux Heating was fitted as standard to US spec cars?
