I wonder how Tesla 3 Buyers will react to losing tax credit

It doesn't work that way. The tax credit is a simply a credit against what you ultimately owe. If you owe less than the credit, you do NOT get a refund for the difference. The only way you get a refund is by having paid in more than you owe. If you don't owe anything, you do not get a...

    Hacking an i3

No key required. Downloading the stuff can be lengthy, but you don't have to be sitting in front on your computer during the download. If you have to create a VM to run the program, then that's a Mac thing that you brought on yourself. Yes its easy to be lazy (I've got no problem with paying...

    Hacking an i3

Not hard to do it yourself if you have a Windows computer, a $20 OBD II to ethernet cable (you can order from Amazon or eBay) and software you can find online. Take a look at bmwcoding.com or search for e-sys

Why do companies Lease EV at loss

A lot of factors go into pricing a lease on an EV in the United States. Among the factors are: - The MSRP is likely inflated due to the Federal Tax Credit. Find a "true" price for anything when subsidies exist is difficult, but you can pretty safely assume that the MSRP of EV's would drop in...

Which fuse to tap for wiring a dashcam?

Just verified via a multi-meter that the unswitched terminal has ~14v at all times (I didn't wait 20 minutes to see if it dropped, btw) and the switched terminal has ~14v when the car is in accessory mode or ready mode, else it has ~0v on it.

Which fuse to tap for wiring a dashcam?

I have the same question, but I think the answer is even simpler. As the picture in this post shows http://www.mybmwi3.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1852, there is both a "switched" and an "unswitched" terminal available on the fused panel. I think you can used the "unswitched" terminal to get a...

Wear surface along top of bumper

I purchased one of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CPA63O/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 for my 2014 REx. It worked very well, and I just bought a new one for my replacement 2017 REx.

As you switch from I Remote to BMW connected app...

pfanning is correct, for at least a number of us in the US, running the latest Android version of BMW Connected, it does not have the widgets present for scheduling pre-conditioning. Unlock is now present, and the last trip efficiency is there, but no access to scheduling pre-conditioning...
