Thanks for that. I've noticed one at IKEA in Walsall too, which looks about a mile off the M6, so that's do-able (and very useful as I head north).
I hear nasty things about trying to use an i3 with Ecotricity's non-CCS chargers, though...

John
Hi all,
Our time with the i3 REX is coming to an end - but I've had a bit of a crazy idea on how to say goodbye to it. I'm going to drive it to my parents' for dinner. We're based in Teddington, south London. They're based in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. And I'm going to try to do it all on...
The weekly updates on the i3 continue to pile up. Thought I'd post a link to the latest one, though, because it details a return visit to London when the charging infrastructure actually worked!
Still haven't forgotten the idea of a meet-up, either. Remember how I said late June? Then late...
Okay, so I haven't quite managed to get this sorted for June. It'll be in late July, I'd say.
In the meantime, one of my colleagues here has posted an update on how he took our car to the new Ecotricity DC point at Cobham services. We reckon we must have been one of the first to use it...
Looks like we could get four or five peeps here, which would be a good start. Perhaps other prospective owners could come along anyway via 'conventional' transport - a good opportunity to meet those who are already running the car, and get a good look around different examples?
I'm thinking of...
Ricky,
Thanks for that. It'll be interesting to see if non-BMW-affiliated owners are keen to meet up too. Depending on timings and how many are going to come along, we could look at getting a BMW rep from Bracknell to pop along and meet customers too.
Perhaps I should stick this in a new...
I'm wondering, would any owners be interested in a meet-up that we could then feature editorially in What Car? If there's enough interest then we could have it here at our offices (which have three or four 32A chargers, so people could juice up while they're here).
We're based in Teddington...
Hi all,
We're still racking up miles in our i3 REX at What Car?. This week, I've been wondering why the Eco Pro mode can't cut in automatically - or stay activated once I've pressed the button…

This week's update on the What Car? long-term i3 REX has now gone live - I've been playing around with the smartphone app.

One of my colleagues tried the i3 last night and came in this morning raving about the Traffic Jam Assistant; we'll post a full update on it next week.
In the meantime, I've posted a (lengthy) update this morning on the perils of charging the car up in London recently...
Paul,
I will certainly be reporting on Driver Assistance Plus. I've already experienced the emergency city braking system a couple of times; it seems a more intelligent system than the one that was on my previous long-termer, the Audi A3 Sportback.
In the meantime, the second weekly report is...
Oh, and here's another pic of our car, taken this lunchtime during a quick run to the What Car? greasy spoon.
We had several i3s in our car park last night, actually - BMW i8 customer evening and Reader Test Team in the studio downstairs.
Hi all,
I am planning to have a chat with Chargemaster about the fees and will report back on what their view is on it. Our long-termer now has ChargeNow, Ecotricity and SourceLondon cards in its netting pouch under the dashboard; let's see how useful they are over the weeks and months ahead...
