I got excited for about a minute: Carplay worked on my 2016 i3, but then the screen would simply go black. Had to uninstall everything - luckily my stock system still works. But when I re-connect the unit it constantly turns off the screen. And the Joyeauto WhatsApp tech support is not helpful...

I'm in the same boat: Purchased the unit for my 2016 i3 from Joyeauto (via Aliexpress). Tried installing it, but connectors seem to be wrong. I've sent a Whatsapp message to their tech support, let's see what they get back with. FWIW, my i3 seems to have the "big" NBT unit, too. I'll keep you...

Hi @Star63, can you please share details about the unit you bought on Aliexpress? There are several different versions (NBT vs NBT Evo,...). Thanks in advance!
