Driving 110-120 miles round trip in my '18 REX, knowing I've got 50 miles in reserve is nice. If I had an EV with 200 mile range, I wouldn't want a range extender.
I do like the insulated cooler, I'll have to measure my frunk and see what I can find. I bought a waterproof "ocean bag" for my frunk and fit anything that can't get a little wet.
I bought a 2018 REX, don't have the tech package. I signed up for the Connected service mostly to be able to send destinations to the map and to be able to get map updates. With my previous car, I used to keep my phone mounted to the dash, but I'm trying to stay away from distractions and like...
I just had my service done (2018 i3 rex) and it was relatively simple - an oil change and a brake fluid change. I was going to do it myself (and even bought a T20 driver) but the labor was pretty reasonable and as an amateur mechanic I didn't want to mess with my brakes. A BEV model would still...
Do you have a link to that story? I've wanted to start taking longer trips with my 2018 REX, starting with some day trips that are just past my EV range one-way.
I (over)paid for a ceramic coat at the dealer on my 2018 REX. I was happy with the overall price, regardless.
Since I've gotten the car, all I've needed to do is go to a spray car wash, hit the tires and fender wells with soap, then spray the rest of the car with water only. Wipe down with...
I just bought a 2018 i3 with REX a few months back. It's my first EV, replacing a Plug-in Prius. We're a 2-car family, so there's no dependency on the i3.
Going from 460+ miles on a tank to 110-120 miles of EV range was an adjustment, even though most of my driving is city driving or highway...
I have a 220 outlet in my carport with a weatherproof cover and the BMW Turbocord charger. Instead of the 220v adapter, I bought a short extension cord with a NEMA 6-20 plug and a 5-15 receptacle. The charger hangs off the cord off the floor. It's under a carport with shelter from the rain.
I...
I bought a used i3 with the Turbocord, but no 220 adapter. I bought this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B2F4162J?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 on Amazon and it works perfectly for $9.99.
Is there anything I need to look out for in having my i3 washed? I think the manual suggests "cloth car washes or washes that use soft brushes" but wondered what your experience has been?
I'm curious about interior cleaning, wondering if spraying cleaners directly on the recycled material would...
