Collected mine on Saturday. Was bucketing down on my journey home from the dealer. I can confirm it was bone dry under the front bonnet when I got home :)

I've had a little time to play around in the last 24 hours and have the following observations to make. However, I think the coming week, will allow me to form a more accurate appraisal of the REX. Anyway, here goes.
1 - I deliberately drove home from the dealer with the charge hold set at...
Finally :)
The weather was atrocious but it was still a great drive home regardless. Wasn't that bothered about preserving KWH on the way home, the performance is blistering from zero mph. The future has arrived, and it's Orange :)
Chris.
Received this today from my dealer. Gives a few little tidbits about the REX (in the UK) at least.

The classic one that I've heard a few times now : "what happens when you run out of battery charge"
My response is the same every time "What happens when you run out of petrol/diesel"
The argument quickly dissipates :)
Chris.
Looks like I'll be collecting the new addition to the family tomorrow :)
in preparation I've been busy getting the the creche ready.

I'll post further pics when I have them.

I used the good old fashioned 'bug the dealer' method. He has been invaluable at keeping me up to date with status changes, even sending me screenshots from the BMW ordering system (which looks like it was written in 1983 On a VAX VMS....very old school) :D
Hi Bill,
Agree completely. Of the 3 BEVs I took out for test drives, not a single one had DC prep installed. This seems strange for the demo pool.
Chris.
Great testing Andy,
I've got to say though, up to 50mph, to have less than a second between a 400bhp 4 litre beast and a 170 bhp 'leccy motor isn't to shabby :-)
