myBMW App Works, But Not Showing Charge / Charging Status...

my comment adds little except to echo the fact that sometimes the info appears on the ap or my ipad, and sometimes it doesn’t. this has been a constant for my 3 years of ownership. compared with some of the more alarming possible problems reported here, the issue is microscopic. I hope not to...

Orange light stayed on display after automatic service of Rex

here’s my experience. I have a 2017 iRex. I like it. The engine management light came on one day as the self maintenance cycle was ending. I should explain that I had driven the car for about 10 minutes but on reaching my destination I simply turned the car off, before the cycle had...

    Unintended acceleration

all i3s behave this way when hitting a bump I believe it’s a design feature to protect the engine mountings from excessive torque when the rubber hits the tarmac.

What would happen if I keep driving on GAS(REX) w/o chargng?

My experience is that in the 3.5 years of ownership, I have never used the Rex, It self maintains every 2 months for 10 minutes. I have put about 2 litres of fuel in over this period to keep the tank full and so far so good.

Potential Buyer with a few simple questions :)

hello Tony. I have a 2017 i3Rex. It has been reliable since I got it 3 years ago, but low mileage (22 k altogether). It’s a very quick and efficient little thing and I can’t imagine why one would go for the ‘s’ model. I have never needed the Rex. I sometimes use it for fun, but it’s...

    Help no heat

for what it’s worth, my 2017 i3 Rex delivers reduced heat in eco mode, as it explains in the handbook. to compensate, I use the seat warmers which are quick & efficient. To get full heat I need to be in Comfort mode. It’s a choice. Hope yours works as well as mine has!

What to check when viewing 2017 Rex. (Aircon and Drive Motor?)

useful price information…thanks for that. I also have a 2017 rex with 22,000 and it has been completely reliable ( so far! ). continues to give joy at all levels.

    Steering Feel

it seems a little unnecessary to suggest this, but check the pressures, if you haven’t already. Mine drives fine but is sensitive to pressures. The other thing to mention is that eco mode certainly helps slow down rear tyre wear. I find comfort mode is quite fierce if I’m not careful!

    New tires helped

Having just fitted Michelin Primacies to my iRex, it seems obvious they are quieter and more supple than the previous Bridgestones, but a little more pricey. The car has always been a little flighty in cross winds regardless of the tyres.
