    i3 Horn sound

Look on You Tube for I3 Horn Replacement. Relatively easy to replace the stock wimpy single horn with dual high and low tone PIAAs or Hellas. As we all know the single stock FIAM is pretty damn wimpy.....clown car horn. Honk-on. Road Jager

Big Brake Kit for i3 ?

I completely agree that there is absolutely no need for Big Brakes on an I3. Don't waste your money. Put the 'extra' funds into lowering springs. They add to the looks and better handling. Just sayin'

Thanks MKH. I picked one up. It is mandatory equipment for the summers of Oklahoma. Road Jager

    Windshield Sunshade

I was wanting to get a front windshield sunshade for our I3. Both BMW and Coverlay do not offer a product that fits the way other chassis shades do. I don't want a one-size-fits-all mylar product. What are you using? Road Jager

Remarkable end-of-lease buyout offers from BMWFS

When we checked with BMWFS about purchasing our I3 last week they quoted a $10k customer incentive to buy it. We checked 2 months ago when it came off lease and the residual was too much versus market value, so we decided to order and purchase, not lease a new I3s. We were given a July...

    Tar spot removal

Use WD40. DO NOT USE BRAKE FLUID it removes paint. Just spritz a bit of WD40 directly on the tar, then gently wipe it off. After the tar is removed, DAWN dishwashing soap easily cleans off the WD40 residue. Road Jager DO NOT USE PAINT THINNER EITHER, it will FUp the paint finish.

Maintaining 12 V Battery Charge while Physical Distancing

Wonder all you want about this advice. This man is not a 'suit'. He was a 20 year factory certified trained technician. He is not a BS'er. He just stated that the root of most of the I3 electrical issues they see in their shop, seemed to stem from the 12v battery that is in later life. He has...

Maintaining 12 V Battery Charge while Physical Distancing

I was told by a BMW Service Manager, that most of the problems they have seen are caused by the 12v battery status. At the end of the 12v battery life is when control units are damaged and problems from that point cascade. His suggestion is just replace the 12v battery at the 3 year mark...

    2020 I3s Incentives

Art, Our local dealer told us this morning that our build date is early July, with delivery in late August. He also indicated a lot of the allocations are going to California. 3/15/20: BMW Leasing extended our lease, with no issues, until the 2020 I3s is delivered.

    2020 I3s Incentives

Our 2017 I3 BEV lease expires in 4 weeks. Through a mis-communication issue on the lease we opted not to purchase the car. We initially leased it to see if we were comfortable with electromotivation. We are ordering an I3s. This time it will be purchased. BMW extended us $10,500 in discounts...

    Salvaged title 2014 i3 bev

Why would anyone purchase a vehicle with a salvage title? After 35 years of owning a BMW, Mini and M/Benz repair shop, I saw numerous people attempting to defy the financial reality of a salavged car. The general attitude was that "now I can afford to have a BMW". I would tell them no, this is...
