Happened to me too today. Lost power assist while driving at 50 MPH. Not a very comfortable feeling, the car had no sense of direction. Once I came to a stop, power steering started working again. My warranty expires in 10 days. After reading this post, I'm guessing it'll probably take weeks...
Can someone please show me how to turn on the back up camera at any speed? I've seen it posted here before but I can't seem to find it. Thanks in advance!
I had the same exact noise under the same conditions. First time I took it to the dealer they lubed/replace a bushing at the bottom of the steering column. That didn't fix anything. The second time I took it in, they replaced both upper strut mounts and that took care of the issue. Apparently...
They kept my car for several days, told me it was fixed but the noise still there. I will bring it up to their attention when they fix the water sloshing noise coming from the door sills.

They told me they lubed a bushing at the firewall, where the steering shaft goes through. Not sure if that's going to fix it. My car will be done tomorrow and I'll let you know if the noise is fixed for good. Sure sounded like a lower ball joint to me.
I dropped my i3 yesterday at the dealer for a suspension noise and I was told they have the fix for the recall already. Apparently it's just a software update that will fix the frontal crash recall.
