Should I buy this car ?

DC Fast charge isn't all that mandatory, but 115V LVL1 is just masochistic

    Lease new or buy used?

Switch it around and stop thinking about 'what will it be worth in when I'm done' and consider 'how much will I spend to drive the car'. You live in LA, where the lease deals are plentiful and cheap and lots of government incentives. http://ev-vin.blogspot.com/ At this point, you can drive...

    Disposing of owners choice

the original lease return person that worked for BMW measured the tires at the wrong place, so they insisted my tires needed replacing. autovin did it right and said they didn't. I returned the car without doing anything to it, but did notify BMW ahead of time of my displeasure at possibly...

    Disposing of owners choice

Overall the car return process went reasonably smoothly. They took my car, it ended up in their CPO inventory at an unreasonable price that went down over the next 5 months where the car finally sold (I think, anyways, it's not showing up on TRUECAR or their website and I finally got a notice...

Charging your i3 at a public station and coming back to find your car unplugged

I thought the issue was that the early 2014 i3s wouldn't UNLOCK the charge port when charging was complete. Actually, I think all i3s had this issue, but a firmware upgrade fixed that for most of them, except the earliest models. Eventually another upgrade fixed even them. (I believe my i3...

    BMW i3 I01 (2014 - Current)

I bet she'll talk about a very good deal she got at a leasing company (or ask questions about whether or not its a good deal from that leasing company). I don't understand why these forum bots/sockpuppets have such bad english though, being that they're an American company advertising for...

Thinking of Buying an i3 this week

All i3s are primarily plug in cars, thought the REX (Range EXtender) model does take gasoline to extend its operational range by ~50% (with caveats, especially in the US).

I wonder how Tesla 3 Buyers will react to losing tax credit

The tax credit didn't count towards AMT? that reeks.

Lease Deal For 94 ah Range Extender

It may be BMW is tired of losing money on them, so isn't supporting the residual like they used to.

    Is this a good deal?

FWIW, my base model (except for heated seats BEV) 2014 returned at the end of january with 15k miles was originally listed as CPO at $26k. It's now listed at the same dealership for $20k. I expect it to keep going down. Use truecar to search for used nationwide and use that as a bludgeoning...

Lack of 17 i3 BEV at dealers

I bet they (BMW) lost a LOT of money with 2014 & 2015 overproduction. Less production means less markdown to move them. The huge chunk they lost on lease residuals doesn't help.

Real purchase price for i3 ?

It does not. edit: it doesn't include federal or state rebates.

Any successful lease pull-aheads on i3?

I think they only do it with cars that have demand in the secondary market. The i3 has the opposite of that. They definitely said 'no way' with mine when I turned it in 2 months ago.

Lease Deal For 94 ah Range Extender

awesomeguy95 and about 7 other "members" are sock puppets of the leasing company they link.

    Can I lease a used 2105 i3 Rex ?

BMW won't lease it to you, but maybe leasing company will? The details would have to come from the leasing company, as leasing a used car is so variable that you can't just look the info up.
