    December 2014 Residuals

Thank you arod2051! Is the residual calculated on the sale price or out the door price? I believe the former but just checking. Thanks!

Hello All, Does anyone know what are the residuals for December. Say for a 36 months, 12K miles/year lease? Thanks!

    Born Electric June 21 2014 i3 REX

I totally agree with you that i3 is a brand new car that is just growing in volume sales/testing. I asked about the loaner car situation as some of the dealers will just give you a loaner car from Enterprise or any rental company. Glad you got a bimmer for bimmer. I would 135 any day.

Were you given a loaner car all the while when your i3 is going through the repair/upgrade process? If so, what car?

    Electricity Consumption

Thanks for the info guys. Good discussion here. The solar system (10KW) that I am putting generates 11MW per year (estimate). Obviously more in summer and less in winter. Anything I generate will be fed to the grid and my consumption will be from the grid. The electric company will only...

    Electricity Consumption

Hello Plug, Thanks for the post! Yes. I didn't include the REx in my calculation as that will not be from my solar panel generated electricity :) The 15K miles calculated with our family's commute distance /year + extra weekend trips. I am totally in for a green 15K electrifying miles :)...

    Electricity Consumption

Thanks Guys. That helps. Say for a full electric charge, I get around 70 electric miles average For about 15K miles/year, I see around 15000 *22/70 = 4714KWh. That is roughly about 5MW. This certainly helps in coming up with my solar panel system. Thanks again!

    Electricity Consumption

Hello Guys, I am planning to get an i3 REx and want to know from the folks who have been charging at their home. What is the typical KWh consumed for charging the i3? I am sure it depends from person to person but any numbers to fully charge once will be helpful as I am planning to get solar...

    Owner's Choice Financing Not Allowed

vmSeattle. Did you try DCU? They are offering the lowest rate so far I have seen. https://www.dcu.org/loans/auto-loans.html#rates It says 1.24% but will knock off another .5% if you have relationship checking for a total of 0.99%. For relationship checking, you need to have a direct deposit...

how much did you pay? above or below MSRP?

Thanks for the reply. I believe they will be discounting the REx a lot in NJ a lot because REx is about $7K to $8K more in NJ (REx cost + sales tax on the vehicle). For the same reason, I am looking into BEV. $8K is probably not worth the REx. I would rather rent out few times that I think I...

how much did you pay? above or below MSRP?

Here in NJ, I asked if there is any loyalty cash being offered and the dealer says there is none but can be worked out to match that. I would imagine the dealers are going $1K off MSRP. Does anyone think the i3 might have some of these loyalty cash deals towards the end of the year? I am in no...
