In the nearly three years I've owned my i3, I soon will be putting on the third set of rear tires. Has anyone found another make or size that fits other than the over priced ones I'm forced to purchase ??
Well I tried to cool down my i3 and was forced to download the 'new and improved' My BMW app only to find that of course, it doesn't work with Android phones, I call the folks at BMW Connected and yes, it's a known problem and hopefully they will get it working.
I'm glad they didn't test it...
I did contact BMW and they said my subscription for the service is paid up until the end of 2021. I tried pulling fuse # 114 as several have said will reset the cellular module with no improvement.
When I first purchased our 2017 i3 several months ago, I could turn on the climate control, unlock doors, etc but the last several months the only functions that work are seeing the state of charge and location. After calling BMW Connected Drive they advised to delete and reinstall the app...
I have seen photos of the expected range displayed on the GPS displayed as what others have call, 'The Blob'. When I zoom out on my GPS map I don't see that. How ??
Just wanted to follow up - Had the car into the local BMW dealer and they found two problems. The 12 volt battery was going bad and the left headlight was causing the battery to drain which somehow caused the lights to come on.
I have another thought - is it possible the prior person who leased the vehicle could turn the headlights on via the Connected app ? I did delete the prior profiles from the vehicle. Is there a way to eliminate the prior connected app users (Short of hiring a hit man!!) .
This happens late at night (Midnight to 5am) while the keys are hanging inside the house which is 100 feet from the vehicle. There's nothing touching the keyfobs so the keys aren't depressed.
No, the headlights come on hours after being parked in the driveway. The previous owner profiles were deleted and there are no key fobs left in the vehicle when it's parked.
