i3s with 195/55r20 in all positions

No spacers required for 215s on the rear. I saw on another site someone put 215s all around and needed spacers on the front. The S100s handle better and I enjoy the softer ride. It helps running less air pressure. (I have a 4 gal aux tank so any range reduction is non factor now).

i3s with 195/55r20 in all positions

That’s a heck of a price. I put S100s all around. 215s ($142 ea Amazon- currently unavailable) on the rear and 195s on front. Very happy with the handling and comfort but the 195s were expensive (now $428 ea) which is why I opted for the 215s on the rear.

Anyone found another tire that fits??

I paid $280 per tire on Amazon. I see them now at $428 each. That’s a crazy amount for such small tires.

    Aux Fuel Mod

Just completed my first long trip with new wider S100 tires and aux tank. The tires made the ride much more comfortable and the extra fuel eliminated the need to be constantly hunting for charging stations (that work). I’m really enjoying this car now. Only other improvement I am contemplating...

    Aux Fuel Mod

I saw someone else move the Evap canister in the frunk on top of the aux tank.

    Aux Fuel Mod

Great video to demonstrate what we are attempting to accomplish. I plan to do my first road trip soon with the aux tank. Mr Crack mentioned in the vid adding 2 gallons at a time. I will take heed from someone else that did this mod and not overfill and avoid pushing fuel into the Evap canister...

    Aux Fuel Mod

Mr M. That is the same article that I referenced. After looking at the attached photo you will see why the aux pump needs to be plumbed to the filler neck and not the lower side as it connects to the grey connector that goes to the Evap canister. I realize now that I directly filled mine with...

    Aux Fuel Mod

I installed a 4 gallon race tank with foam on my 2019S following instructions from an article I found. Initial test failed and it was venting fuel onto the ground when I would open the main cap. I joined the I3 FB group and someone recommended reversing the hoses so the fuel is being pumped up...

Anyone found another tire that fits??

I only installed the tires 3 weeks ago but I’m not overly concerned about mileage. It’s not the ultimate driving machine yet but since it is our only car and I am making it comfortable for in town and longer trips. I have a 4 gallon fuel race tank arriving and considering reworking the front...

Anyone found another tire that fits??

My car rides so much better with the S-100, 215s on the rears and 195s on the front. Being able to run less air pressure helps as well. The 195s are expensive in the US tho. $280 each from Amazon.

    2019 Fuel Capacity

Yesterday I successfully coded my 2019 Rex-S with the HSOC and Fuel capacity. The Rex turned on as advertised below 75% but the indicated fuel range did not change. It appears that the 2019 does not require the capacity coding.

    New tires helped

Update on my 2019 Rex-S: going wider with S-100s 195-50-20 front and 215-45-20 rears coupled with lowering the air pressure (34/36) made a huge difference in ride comfort. Feels like it holds the road in turns much better also.

Anyone found another tire that fits??

After reading others have installed S-001 215/45/20s I ordered them for $147 on Amazon. Pulled rear wheels tires off my 2019 S/Rex today and took to Americas Tire. They said they could not install as my wheels are 6.0 and need to be minimally 6.5. I called local BMW dealer tire expert and he...

    New tires helped

I was happy to find S-100 / 215-50-20s for the rear $143 each on Amazon. Couldn’t find anything cheap for the front so I bit the bullet and Ordered S-100 195-50-20 for $380 ea. Hoping it will improve the ride a bit on my 2019 S-Rex.

    Squeezing more miles w/o AC

I love my newish 2019 S with Rex. I have done a few trips from San Jose to Pismo in one shot but as you know running the AC greatly reduces range. I just had the windows tinted and plan to add an extra fuel tank with a transfer pump eventually but with the price of gas lately getting the most...
