BMW i3 - Best steering of any car I've owned

I just loved the EV driving experience and found test drive after test drive just kept coming to conclusion i3 was special and I had to find the extra cash to get my REX, no regrets, now done over 17000 miles. Not saying it is perfect but thought it was worth the gamble on residuals even if it...

BMW I3 -Most Dangerious Steering Of Any Car I've Owned!

Maybe not right for the U.S.A. or people not properly looking into what they were buying like you, talking bollocks over what it does not have or does not do. No use complaining about all the above after buying as you should fully investigate a totally new model as buying is risky and a gamble...

BMW I3 -Most Dangerious Steering Of Any Car I've Owned!

It is a funny shape but it fits well in most places, only now and then is it a bit tight :P

Just past 30,000 miles on my i3 BEV Electronaut Edition

Sounds ideal car for the area you live in. Is there any negatives as regards ride and handling? Did you notice any difference between the software upgrades and new KLE?

BMW I3 -Most Dangerious Steering Of Any Car I've Owned!

I have just had another blast today in mine and well happy and latest software update not had any negative effect on regen and in fact increased my range +10 without any extra effort to drive Eco. I don't think i3 is dangerous

BMW I3 -Most Dangerious Steering Of Any Car I've Owned!

Have you spoken to BMW about your feelings? I haven't got the same feeling of being over sensitive myself but as you say compared to other cars you have had it is a lot lighter. The narrow tyres likely a contribution but interesting if you can get any answers from BMW.

    Engine mount broken

My car creaks not related to bolts, some bushings lubricants applied during my KLE upgrade.

Turning OFF range extender hold mode

In my case it may have been a warm-up, I only ran it for a minute to test hold, so it may have stayed on for a bit longer. Correct behaviour of REX

    i3 REx one year review

Great review, only issues for me are sidewind sensitivity and poor winter range along with poor public charging still lacking enough CCS in UK at present. There are compromises you have to make but I enjoy the positives more.

    Crack in front windscreen

If you can avoid Autoglass please do as service gone so downhill since selling branches and going mobile only they got featured on Watchdog last week. I had on my previous car a poor experience with them, went for chip fix and they cracked screen then 1st new screen cracked after a day then...

over 3 months into owning an i3 - the whole family loves it!

Same here  Best click and go and perfect stop start system 100% better than old diesel system. Super smooth Rita or Velocity type acceleration.

Seriously starting to dislike the i3-please skip if disagree

Love my i3, only negatives for me is winter range, side wind sensitivity and public charging rapid reliability in UK. All other points too minor to be a problem. The EV grin and after several test drives I kept coming to conclusion I wanted i3 over others. No regrets and I would now only get...

    Engine mount broken

Is the fault obvious when happens? I think it may have happened to mine, I have sort of squeaking noise from rear when cornering :?:
