    Next ICE car - advice

Thanks. Yes I know it would be a much better car to drive, but only comes in xdrive and this adds complexity and adversely affects fuel economy. These are the reasons I'm reluctant.

    Next ICE car - advice

Ok as explained in my other posts, I am looking to get rid of my recently purchased REX for a 3 series. The i3 is just not for me (various concerns and niggles explained previously) although I can see why it would appeal to some. Apologies, as know this isn't the most appropriate place to post...

    Poor REX Mpg on motorway

Hi, So last night I drove the i3 purely on REX for 110 miles non stop on the M42/M40 (no traffic). Was doing a constant 70-75 mph (displayed). Had to stop to refuel. Couldn't be bothered to charge as it was getting late. Heater was on at 22c. Basically over the motorway distance...

    REX refuelling message

Hi guys, Sorry if this has already been covered. Whenever I want to fill up the REX with petrol, I press the fuel button to the right lower side of the steering column. I then get a message something like "refuelling possible at x%". The problem is the x appears to be a random number, and I'm...

Fed up with my 94ah REX - 6 weeks!!

Well it's been a few weeks, and mixed feelings about the car. But overall negative. Doesn't quite feel as 'solid' as my previous 3 litre diesel, nor is the build quality up to scratch. Don't like the harsh ride and vibration/shudder over potholes and the silent drive from starting. Also...

    Bought i3 94 ah REX - ADVICE

Not as Solid - just the general feel of the car. For example on dual carriageways, tends to feel flimsy and sways a lot on windy days (like today). I guess it's because comparing. The steering wheel is too thin too. Ride - I have 19" turbine wheels, standard ones. Really get a lot of...

    Bought i3 94 ah REX - ADVICE

Well it's been a few weeks, and mixed feelings about the car. Doesn't quite feel as solid as my 3 litre diesel. Don't like the harsh ride over potholes and the silent drive from starting. I do like the fact that I can charge it at work free. I miss the torque and acceleration of my previous...

    Bought i3 94 ah REX - ADVICE

I'm not too technical so I'm not sure, but it's all over the net and seems quite common - if you google 'i3 drivetrain error' you'll see what I mean. And many of these are low mileage cars with full dealer history. It could relate to REX malfunction but I couldn't be sure. Thanks

    Bought i3 94 ah REX - ADVICE

Thanks for detailed response. It's put things into context somewhat! I guess the other problem is, non BMW garages wouldn't not know how to rectify some of the issues.. Maybe I'll just take the risk, and keep some money aside! If I maintain a full BMW dealership service history, is it likely...

    Bought i3 94 ah REX - ADVICE

Hi all, I'm new on here, so thanks in advance for any advice. Last week, I bought a Nov 2016 i3 with 18k on the clock. Its a 94ah REX version - leather, large screen and turbine alloys, and with park assist - so a fair few extras. Bought from BMW used approved (UK) - so with the usual 12 m...
