After 6 weeks of breakdown I finally got my i3 back. First drive was from Wageningen to Zwolle. On the A50 I charged my car on the FastNed point. 500volt and 175 amp... So that make 87.500 Watt... This charging was really impressive. Just one cup of coffee at the petrol station and I was on my...

    High Voltage Distributor failure

After 6 weeks I got my car back! It works fine again and drives fantastic. Much better than the X1 they provided for the time it was in the garage.

    High Voltage Distributor failure

Finally BMW called back. They made excuses for the situation they caused. Unfortunately they can (will?) not speed up the delivery of the spare part that is required for the repair of my car. So I still have to wait 3-4 weeks :x :x They offered me to compensate the additional cost I have to...

    High Voltage Distributor failure

My suggestion is to make a contract with BMW stating the compensation in case of failure. The reason is that it seems that there is no adequate compensation in case you have problems like I have. BMW i promised me to call me today with a solution, they failed to provide a solution. The solution...

    High Voltage Distributor failure

My i3 wouldn't heat the interior anymore. After two (!) weeks of investigation the dealer found out that there is a failure in the high voltage distributor. Unfortunately a spare part is not available. BMW assumes that it will be available by the end of FEB. Then they need to build it in, which...

    Blog about your i3 experience

Symptoms quite funny: no heating in the car. So I went to the dealer and it turned out to be a serious problem. Currently my dealer has 3 cars with the same issue. BMW not capable to deliver spare parts, expected delivery time is end of Februari (2014 I assume, but not sure). So far no sign of...

    Nederland

    Blog about your i3 experience

Since the last two weeks my range is back to more than 800km's... My i3 is broken for two weeks now, and I now drive a spare X1 petrol car. My i3 has an issue with the high voltage distributor. It took BMW 2 weeks to find the source of trouble. Unfortunately the spare part is not available...

    Dutch Corner: charging cards/subscriptions

Essent failed to deliver their card so far. Luckly Nuon was able to provide a card within two days, so I can charge my car anyplace now and really start enjoying it (which I do!!!)

    Dutch Corner: add on mobility

Sounds great! But first I need my i3, to BE delivered end of this week...

    Dutch Corner: add on mobility

Is there already any experience with the BMW add on mobility program. They told me that it would cost 67 euro a month to have a BWM 3 series available for two weeks. Is this true, and are these vehicles timely available?

    Dutch Corner: charging cards/subscriptions

I did not get any offer from BMW so far for any charging card. So I ordered myself a Essent-Card, just to be sure. Perhaps there is a little surprise that BMW provides their card when the car finally is delivered (next week...). Any experience from other Dutch i3 drivers on the BMW card?

    Yess... i3 is comming!

Day before Christmas my i3 was registrated on my name. Now waiting for final delivery until next Friday (3-1-2014). Still one week to go...
