    Impressions one year on

No rattles of squeaks at all in my i3, not even after 30.000km and 21 months. I love to take the i3 for the daily commute where the adaptive CC works wonders. I have not driven any car where the adaptive CC works so well in a trafic jam, not even in my 528. And I enjoy the spacious and...

how many with zero i3 problems?

Just a quick update: 31.000km / 21 months and still flawless. I'm wondering if I ever have to visit the garage again before the first regulatory check (APK in NL) ;)

    Antenna breaking off in carwash

Mine was replaced during a recent visit to the dealer. They said it is a known problem. I have now just removed it because I only use DAB and don't notice any reception problem.

Range and SOC "evaporation" while parked

To get back to your original post: the right answer is probably C. I've noticed that with cold weather (close to or below zero) I lose anywhere between 2% and 6% in range when not pre-conditioned while connected to the mains.

So what ranges are you getting?

Yes, they can be pre-conditioned, this gives you 6-8% more range on a cold day. But the battery has to be kept warm while driving. This costs energy as well as the heating of the car interrior even while I have the heatpump option, which reduces energy consumption for heating. On one of the...

    Verzekering i3

    Charge AC/DC

Ah, OK, that I didn't know. Then it should be possible to charge at any 32A AC point even without the DC option. Apologies for the confusion

So what ranges are you getting?

I've done 5,500km now in my i3 and have an average of 15.4kWh/100km. I do 3-4 times a week a 64km one-way to work with about 55km of that on the highway. I usually tend to stay around 115km when possible, but average speed during rush hour rarely gets beyond 85km  Over the past weeks I've...

    Nederland

    Charge AC/DC

The i3 will work on almost all 22kW/32A AC charging outlets. But it only uses 1 phase. I do this quite often. Only if you have the DC/fastcharging option you can actually charge at 7.4kW on an AC connection. Otherwise the max. is 3.6kW (16A) If you have access to a CCS type DC charger (there...

UK - I test drove the Tesla and and i3 this week...

I've done a short swap with a Tesla owner earlier this week (and S85), both with those ugly yellow Dutch licence plates  The speed and acceleration of the Tesla are impressive, and it does boast 3 times the range of my i3 BEV. But compared to the Tesla the i3 feels so much more as a...
