I have spent hundreds of dollars with bmw trying to figure out why my i3 goes to turtle mode when the range extender kicks in when the battery drains .
Bmw has spent money as well.
2015 model.
Curious as to whether anyone else has experienced this issue.

Sometimes when I get home the range extender is on when I pull in the garage.
I turn off the car but the range extender seems to be on.
It that true or is it just cooling off or something?
I don’t want to die of carbon monoxide so I’m let me know if you know.
