Given there's no coin tray anywhere else in the car, I figured the cup holder insert was removable so that if you threw some coins into it you could easily tip them out again :) I keep the key in my pocket.

If it's any consolation, I saw an i3 with a sunroof recently and I was really disappointed about how much it actually opens (fully, not on tilt). I guess there isn't much roof for it to slide back into/on top of. It hardly seemed worth the extra cost to me - I am skipping it when I order mine soon.

Very good point. Doing some rough maths it seems like BMW are betting that a £30k-ish model will be worth £13-14k in 3 years time and that DC will be (a lot more) prevalent. Hmm... lease is seeming more attractive the more I type :) Thanks
