    Reupholstering seats

Thanks for the links chaps. It looks like going down the OEM route will cost more than 4x aftermarket. I guess I'll just have to see if I can find away to be without the car for a few weeks

    Reupholstering seats

Hi I'm wanting to replace damaged ones. Any idea where I can find OEM part numbers?

    Reupholstering seats

Anyone found somebody who can do a decent job of reupholstering seats in the UK? The only place that seemed interested that I found was called: Seat Surgeons, but they need the existing seats for 3-4 weeks (see below):

    LED Low Beams

Are these the ones in the video?: http://www.philips.co.uk/c-p/12901HPX2/x-tremeultinon-led-car-headlight-bulb/specifications

That's what you used? or are what you are now recommending?

    LED Low Beams

Grant, I couldn't see or hear in the video which LED bulbs you have installed. Could you precise the spec/link please. Thanks

    So does a Trabant.

    i-Remote app: desiged by amateurs

Nearly 2 years and still the same terrible app & online software. Depressing indictment of how BMW doesn't get it. The tech companies will surely put them out of business. If not Tesla, the next one...

    Sound-proofing

@epirali are you seriously claiming that with your super sensitive professional ears you don't hear the motor whine (rather than light noise)? It's really noticeable in my wife's 16 Rex

Google maps-sending address from Google maps to BMWi3

It only shows up in the sub menu for me if I'm logged in to chrome browser

    i3's about as eco-friendly as...?

Apparently a Tesla Model S was tested in Singapore's Emission Test Laboratory and was determined to be equally damaging to the environment as cars with an internal combustion engine that emits between 216-230 grams of CO2 per kilometre (because they rated it with a "grid emission factor of 0.5 g...

    Has regen been reduced

A BMW tech confirmed to me that Regeneration has indeed been reduced in software version I001-14-11-504, from 27 to 24 (I can't remember what he said the units were (kW-somethings per something I'm sure).

    Coding the i3

Yes you're right, I forgot about that. What about wipers?

    Coding the i3

Anyone know if there is a way to get the Auto headlights and Auto wipers to stay on by default (ie. to not have to activate them every time car is switched off and on again)?

    Disappointed with range

Again I bought into the BMW marketing nonsense, expecting 80-85. Even preconditioned, my wife's i3 shows maximum 60miles on 100% charge and is effectively <50-55 no matter which mode or how driven.

Hi - thanks for posting. Can you tell me how you measured the first 2?

My i3's Active Cruise Control in action

Agreed. I've never found it allows me to use it. Either it complains it's not a motorway or it says you're driving too fast. When you're not, it just doesn't work.

    UK i3 options

In my experience it works for this (70% of the time) but fails miserably at the other supposed benefits, in particular at lower speeds - especially for the pedestrian and collision warning and intervention. Despite flashing lights it hasn't once actively applied braking, as it is supposed to...
