Reduced Range in Cold Weather

It's that time of the year again when many electric car owners wonder if there is something wrong with their car because it can't go as far as is did only a few weeks ago. Once temperatures drop into the low 60's and 50's your range will begin to decrease.

There are some tactics to help mitigate the effects of the cold on your battery. Here are some of my thoughts on the subject:

That's very useful and very timely.

My own crib-sheet for colder weather gives me the following (temperatures in degC):

15-20 deg C 100%
10-15 and 20-25 95%
5-10 and 25-30 85%
0-5 80%

It's England so I don't worry too much about more extreme weather.

Grateful for any other comments, particularly from other UK drivers.
