2015 i3 BEV or REX?

Wed Jun 13, 2018 9:47 pm

I found a 2015 BEV for $17,694 with 12kmiles on it. Is it a good deal? REX would be at least 2000 more with higher miles.

can you please share your experience with BEV and REX?

Thank you!!!

It all depends on where you are and how you drive. I live and work in a major city, average under 10 miles per day, can easily access charging, and have a paid-off ICE vehicle as a second car. I’m on my second leased BEV. It’s just about perfect for my situation. If you routinely drive over 80 miles a day, have unpredictable charging, or don’t have access to an ICE for long-distance trips, you might consider a REx.

In your other posts, you reference your experiences with a used 2012 Leaf. If it’s met your needs, a BEV will likely exceed them.

Thank you so much. I live in burbank, CA. My daily routine is within 6 miles range and I do have easy access to charge stations. Leaf taught me how to manage low range EV pretty well. It is only during the weekend id like to go places that could be 40 miles away. But it will be within the i3 range anyways. :)
