That is a great price. I was advised today that there are Australian cars being built in a July order but looking at delivery to customers November 15th. We're getting closer :)
Driving assistant plus is listed as an option on the Aussie price list :(
Thanks to I33t for pointing this out. BMW public relations/marketing as full of %@#t. If it's an option it's the same as overseas therefore it's a 4 star only car.
I probably mis-named the auto braking :)
This is it:

I juts read that the BMW i3 will be considered for an ANCAP test. This means there's a chance it will get 5 stars instead of the Euro NCAP of 4 stars. The Australian version will have the auto braking as standard I believe which may get it 5 stars. This will be great as most Company leasing...
I too would like to know whether there was any speed limiting or if you could just drive normally for the last 5 miles.
Also do you know approx how many miles you ended up doing, including all the miles after the display went blank?
Yes that's the base price. Our base spec has a few extras above and beyond the base models sold overseas which is what they're using to justify a higher price than originally spoken of for launch over here.
Drive away price is a term we use for inclusive of dealer delivery, registration, all on...
Interior Worlds pricing:
NCO is no cost option.

Drive away pricing for each:
Electric: $70,448.10
Range extended (Rex): $76,748.10
So much for the $50K to $70K we were promised. Oh well the EV is almost $70K. I don't think they'll sell as well as BMW thinks so you may see a low km demo that sells for under $70K.
Looks like you found the answer to your own question :)
But for the search engines - yes Lodge is the Australian standard interior. Couple of things I was told that you didn't mention that will come standard also:
· Connected Drive Freedom Package with remote services / concierge...
Our standard wheels are going to be the 19” Wheels – Turbine style 428. The heat pump isn't there but if the heated seats are going to run $730 then the heat pump aint going to be a cheap option
Go the info straight from the Melbourne i specialists, the only Vic dealer for them. At $60K they would sell but not at $72K +. This is drive away pricing BTW.
It's so typical of all the EV pricing here. The Volt at $66K sold how many....1? Then they drop the price to $39,990 and I couldn't get...
