i3 Rex sufficient for 150 mile commute ?

I think it's highly uinlikely you'll be able to get anywhere near 150 miles on a single charge. Even with the 2017 battery size, 105-110 miles would be more likely. That means you would need to use the Rex for around 40-50 miles each trip - about a gallon of fuel. The car will handle this...

Best domestic energy supplier for UK EV charging

The "it's all from coal anyway" argument is certainly not true in the UK. The image below shows the percentage of UK electricity that's generated by coal:

    Buying 94ah

Not sure you'll get any deals on price, but I've been happy with my treatment at Cooper BMW in Norwich.

Type 2 Plug - Rubber Cap / Cover

Try calling https://evconnectors.com/ - they make their own cables and so may have ones in stock that they can sell you.

    SOS button

Has anybody here (particularly in the UK) used the SOS button to summon help, and if so, can you describe exactly what happened? Thanks in advance.

Low fuel level warning issue on i3 Rex

Why would you need a separate warning when there's a huge display of estimated fuel range right in front of you?

How to increase i3 Rex range

The estimate of range on petrol (gas) tends to be very innaccurate. I typically use my REx on a run of around 110 miles, and when I turn the REx on at 75% the estimated range is shown as around 80 miles. After driving about 10 miles, it is usually shown as around 85 miles (a total of 95 miles...

    i3 Rex with halogen headlights

On my 2014 with the LED light option, it only applies to the dips, which was my expectation.

Maybe a problem, missing a part I think

It would be a very small first aid kit. The hole I believe the OP is referring to is less than 1" in diameter! I have the same empty hole, my i3 bought new, so nothing to worry about. My first aid kit is in my boot.

Charging, preconditioning and favourable charging period

Unfortunately not. If you're below around 15% SoC when you plug in, the car starts charging immediately (presumably to protect the battery from being in a low SoC for too long). It will continue until 100% without pause. If you want to use low cost (UK:off peak) power, you need to stop it...

Calibration of indicated mph, miles, and duration?

From my memory (and Wikipedia says the same) EU regs require that the speedometer must not indicate a lower speed than you're travelling, but may indicate a higher speed. Wikipedia says 10% plus 4 kph. Manufacturers would therefore never provide a precisely accurate speed measurement in case...

    Real World REX mpg

You are probably well aware, but it's actually the current that the breaker (called an ELCB or earth leakage circuit breaker in the UK) measures. In practice they're generally designed simply to measure the difference, rather than each current individually and subtract them.

Battery storage system electrified by BMW i

Thanks for the update. You're still misunderstanding the true position. Coal is the dirtiest source of power, but also takes a while to bring online. It's not used to even out peaks and troughs. The fastest source of immediate power remains htdro - either pumped or flow - and that is the...

Battery storage system electrified by BMW i

Not even slightly true. Have a look at http://www.gridwatch.templar.co.uk/ and you'll see that there is almost no coal generation at night, and gas is used less. Peaks and troughs can be handled by hydro, and bio, nuclear and interconnect provice a decent base load.

    Install Thule roof rack tracks

    No. It's made of glass.
