1 - Yup the 32A is the fast charger that takes 3-4 hours
2 - Photo below, this is the only one I have as it was being connected
It can be installed outside, I wished I had now as the cable won't reach if the cars parked forward on the drive! I believe it's the same one and company that British...
Yup my delivery date in July is apparently a good one as they are now back to October for deliveries I don't think BMW expected to sell so many pure electrics in the UK as the REx has much shorter delivery timescales. Again my dealer thinks my delivery can be improved as BMW will look at...
1 - If you mention that your are buying a BMW I3 they will know what charger, Its a type 2 tethered 32A that I had installed.
2 - Not sure, I guess the dealer can confirm. My dealer had no issue with me fitting a 3rd party charging point, I also tested it with the I3 overnight and it worked great.
Chargemaster did mine, a very prompt and professional service. These can be installed outside and tidy the cable unlike the BMW one.

I'm not sure I buy this… What Car thought it was a load rubbish!
"Despite warnings from BMW that anyone interested in sampling a new i3 could have to wait months for a test drive, they are freely available if you ring around, What Car? research has revealed."...
I ordered an all electric at the start of November and I've been given a delivery date in July… Rather disappointing, hopefully my agent can do something clever before then. I'm not sure I'm prepared to wait 9 months for the I3, there will be some interesting cars on sale before the end of next...
I found you could add maybe 2 miles to the range with the rex running by using the re-gen brakes, this can then be used to the pull the car away silently at traffic lights. I guess they have implemented stop start technology to further improve the emissions and also reduce the noise.
Somehow I managed to borrow a BMW I3 overnight on Sunday with the one condition it was to be retuned for Monday morning when they had back to back test drives booked. I really wanted to borrow one so that I could drive it on my normal roads and also convince my wife it would handle the daily...
Having just driven the REX around 100 miles on a flat battery (<3 mile range) it didn't once restrict my speed. Maybe I wasn't driving fast enough, I was doing slow motorway/ city driving into London. The noise was definitely audible at slow/high speeds when and if the engine was working...
Can any one help with what colour this car is? Is it Arravani Grey or Laurus Grey metallic?
