    1 year: 28400 miles and still going like new!

    I've just passed a years ownership but I'm only on 6,300 miles (and even this is a problem as my lease is for 6,000 per annum!)

    i3 App, how to remove old routes

    Are you sure they're from the previous owner? Not trying to hide some trips from the missus are you? :lol:

    public charging

    Any Scottish users who know if there is any benefit from the Charge Now card? I have a cYC card which seems to cover most of the chargers around Glasgow, and an Ecotricity card for when I'm out and about. Has anyone also got a ChargeNow card?

    UK - Standard EVSE Charging

    Can you try using another socket, ideally not from the same circuit board? (Another house, charge point with a 3 pin socket?) This will help you narrow down whether it is a problem with that hockey, your home power supply or the cable/car.

    new i3 rex owner. have a question about i remote app

    Why do you say the remote app is useless? Yes it could have more features and statistics, but I love the preconditioning feature and have benefitted from the remote locking function on several occasions, saving me having to fet out of my lovely,'warm bed.

    Dash Rattles

    Reminds me of a Volkswagen Golf advert from the eighties.

    public charging

    Welcome to the club. Registration will depend where you live and what charge points you are likely to use. I have registered with Ecotricity (national network of rapid and other chargers, frequently at motorway services) and CYC (chargeyourcar) who operate the majority of charge points around...

    wear and tear?

    Seems a bit expensive to me. Your lease company will accept a certain level of wear and tear from general usage, and can provide guidance on what is and is not acceptable (size of/number of scratches etc.) $1350 seems a lot of money to cover this risk, but as with any insurance you need to...

    Adapter to charge an i3

    As far as I know there is no adapter. I believe there is a lot more to it than just having the correct connector. All sorts of electric gubbins would need amending (think a transformer x10).

    Who knew about the folding wing mirrors?

    You definitely learn a new thing every day with this car (at least I do). Thanks for the info.

    Locked OUT!

    Now annoying, glad you managed to get the spare key without too much trouble. It does seems a little over enthusiastic to lock the doors with the keys inside. A literal interpretation of 'lock if no doors are open' rather than 'no doors have been opened'

    Done it

    Congratulations. I too want to know spec, colour, options etc. when are you expecting delivery?

    Hey, Mr. Moderator!

    Do I detect a hint of sarcasm about the moderators hours here? You know you could always volunteer to cover the weekends......

    BLUE Cable

    I'd check the price, I'm sure I paid £160 including VAT (ish). And if you buy BMW you get a snazzy storage bag too! Some people have posted about getting 10% off from the BMW dealer just by asking, worth a try. And yes, it is right you do not get this cable in the UK. You get the 3 pin plug...

    Tested takes the i3 for a spin, park assist causes a bump!

    The rear camera only comes as part of the package in the UK as well.

    Who knew about the folding wing mirrors?

    I've really got to read my manual. I've just found out the i3 has folding wing mirrors! Parking up last night in a cinema car park I manually folded them in as the space was a bit tight. When unlocking the car later i noticed they unfolded automatically. Cue a browse through the manual today...

    Scratched bumper from loading

    Hello all I'm looking for some advice about how to fix a scratched bumper. I've scratched it loading a pushchair into and out of the boot. The scratches are quite deep and don't look like they will just polish out with a bit of turtle wax. Any relatively easy DIY solutions I might be able to...

    REx Gas Usage

    I too got a REX due to range anxiety, 3 weeks in and it has only kicked in twice, and in both those instances I had not charged on purpose as I knew I had the Rex (or use of another vehicle). I think I made the wrong choice as I now have 200kg of metal to cart around for the next 3 years. If...
