Any way to unlock REX on the standard nav?

Hi,
I'm about to pull the trigger on a REX model, but it looks like DVDInMotion only offers the REX-unlock for the US version for the Professional Navigation system.

Is there any way that the REX unlock can be done on the standard Nav system?
I have no idea how to code, so wondered if anyone on this forum can point me to a source where that can be achieved? I don't mind paying for the help either.

The other method is to get someone to code if or do it yourself. Check out Facebook for how on BMW i3 forum.

Yep - can confirm manual coding works just fine on the standard nav.
