Yes, apparently the i3 is a rare sight in the fatherland.
Having said that, in Germany there is no government grant as such to lower the purchase price, for example. However there is no Road tax charge. That's about it. A far cry from the UK, for example, where the government gives buyers a £5000 max discount, 0% benefit in kind tax for company car drivers and funding of home chargers.
It always makes me laugh when David Cameron says that they are the "greenest government ever", but at least in terms of EVs they're sticking to it.
