Buying i3 in the UK with optional extra offered in Japan!

The i3 sold in Japan comes with a Chademo rapid charger aswell as the standard socket. Anyone know what the option code for the Japanese i3 is?

Really want to specify Chademo as we have loads of these rapid charge points and none of the BMW DC ones!

No, unfortunately that will not be available. Because the CHAdeMO connector is so big it actually takes up the entire chargeport opening and the standard chargeport for 120V & 240V charging is located in the front trunk! You would have to open the trunk every time you charge the car! BMW isn't going to make many of these as they won't be selling many in Japan but they wanted to at least make some demonstration i3's for the Japanese market.
