im looking at the 2 large processors on the boad (infienon) but cant make them out what are the part numbers they look like tricore but i cant save and open to zoom in....
all bmw keys from the dealer come pre-programmed to your car all you need to do is cycle the ign with that key one from ebay most likely wont be configured to your car so will have to go to the dealer...
ive tried that also it makes no difference if you leave the cap off.. the pressure in the tank is no different to any other car its only sealed for the emissions/fumes/stop all the gas(butane co petrol is now so low octane they have to boost it ) in the fuel from evaporating. i dont know why...
i had the same problem with mine you have to remove the lock but leave it connected (elctrically ) or it will throw up a warning..
or get BMW to fix it..
if i had the space i would hve kept my i3 i loved it as a local runarround and sometimes regret selling it.. there was only 1 reason i sold it a 2 gallon fuel tank for the rex...
i traded mine in for a model s and got £16500 with 15k miles on it much the same spec as yours there are lots going for arround £12k so i would not expect you to get any more than £15 with those miles on it unless you trading it in against an new i3.
i dont know of any EV specific tarifs i just use npower i managed to get them down to arround 10p/kwh 24/7 which to me is a great deal my electric bill has gone marginally up but i have no petrol to pay for..

i totally agree i loved my i3 and would buy another no question however ive just driven my tesla for 1200 miles round trip with no problems at all the chargers were all free and all worked 100% without the need to get an app or cards no phone calls to ecotricity it just worked a great network...
