Drove a Volt before my i3 and a 25-35% reduction in range in cold weather was typical. In mild weather normally got 35-38 miles on a charge but in temps near 0° Fahrenheit I was lucky to get 25 miles before the ICE turned on. The cold weather range frustrations are very real but not unique to i3's

I've had a similar experience. It's was hit and miss, sometimes working perfectly others not at all. Stopped using it a while ago.

Had some concerns with 20 inch wheel but they have been excellent. They do sharpen the steering handling response and I think they look nicer in the wheel well's. My sisters car has the 19 inch, very nice ride but I prefer the 20's glad I went for them.

I add 2oz to each tank. Can't imagine a downside.

I paid $700 for my installation, That's the highest number of the three shops that I got quotes from. I chose my installer because of the excellent reputation for quality work and customer service. They did a great job.

Ballpark number, the pair of headlights probably draw about 5 amps total. Not sure what that loss translates to in terms of reduced range. My shortest recorded range on a single charge was 73 miles, all highway 70mph with headlights and a/c running.

noticed the Orange on all of the i3's I looked at. I'm sure Merax is correct about the challenge painting composite body work represents. I polished mine with a orange peel pad, it's less noticeable maybe 50% but I didn't work the paint as hard as I could have not wanting to remove too much...

About half of the miles are driven at speeds of 55mph-65mph, the rest are a mix of city and secondary roads. My average speed per charge is a bit over 45mph according to my trip computer. Driving conditions are very consistent, temperatures are normally 75 to 85° Degrees and clear dry roads...

I would be thinking battery or battery charging problem. I'm getting 84-87 miles per charge in a fully loaded REX with a/c running the whole time.

I feel your pain. Purchased my mine in Phoenix AZ but it was acquired by them from a California BMW dealer and it did have a front plate bracket installed. Looks like the dealer in CA put it on.

The subject came up at a BMW i3 event I attended a number of months ago, if my memory isn't faulty I believe the rep quoted the CG at 18.5 inches. He also was very specific that it was the lowest CG of any production vehicle over 60 inches in height.
