I bought mine because of the 3 day extended test drive. If I wasn't able to do it I would have waited for the Tesla Model E to come out to test drive that. I liked it so much and was able to determine if the range of the BEV model would work, which it did, much to the chagrin of my pocketbook. ;)

Size: Yes. I prefer smaller vehicles that don't require a football field to parallel park. Price: Yes. Not as much as a Tesla, nicer than the less expensive electrics like Leaf, 500, spark, etc. I'd buy a Tesla roadster instead if it was 40k however. Alas it's not. I am a sports car guy at heart...

What is the maximum amps I would want to maximize i3 charging, hypothetically if my house will support it? Is it 30A or 60A? As far as I can tell I can get an electrician to install a wall outlet at whatever that max amperage is at 240v, and get a box that plugs into the wall outlet on one side...

Picked up the i3 last night and drove it to work this morning. It charged about 1/3 to 1/2 on the standard wall outlet over the 8 hours or so I was home. I didn't realize nothing is really in the wall box except some switch logic. Makes me wonder why they're so expensive if that's all they are...
